Lions and Turkey Just Seem to go Together and Lions should serve up a stiff of a game this year! |
First, Thanksgiving day we have three games, two likely to be blowouts and one a real turkey. But between Eagles/Lions, Panthers/Cowboys, and Bears/Packers, this Oracle is picking the Eagles/Lions to be the stiff of Turkey Day. I might have considered the Bears/Packers game, but it looks like Rodgers has them clicking again so look for a beat down blowout we are shoving the dressing all the way out your exhaust pipe stompfest of the Bears by the Pack. Panthers? Romo might make it close, but probably not.
As for the rest of the week? The biggest turkey of a game in week 12 will be one of these:
Raiders/Titans
Chargers/Jaguars
Dolphins/Jets
And the Ravens/Browns don't count because that game is all the way to Monday.
But of the three Sunday games, Chargers/Jaguars are my pick for the Doormat Turkey of the Week.
Miami at Jets doesn't look too shabby for Worst Game of the Week. San Diego at Jacksonville will be too amusing, I think, though the Chars seem to be dialing that down, now that they realize they won't even be getting back to .500.
ReplyDeleteRavens-Browns will go down to the final missed field goal.
ReplyDeleteI think next year the Lions should have a MOnday night game, and then still play on Thursday. Then, both teams are required to play their second units (though these may be indistinguishable from the 1st unit) for the first half, just to see what happens.
ReplyDeleteFloppers and the Nyets !! who is the home team? if they play in NJ, the weather should be crappy enough to really make it a crappy game with fumbles and missed tackles, speaking of missed tackles, did anyone else watch the whiners? the post game show featured clips and highlights of missed tackles galore, allowing the 2nd string RB from seattle to gain over 200 yards. Bubba Paris simply stated the only way you can miss so many tackles is to not have your heart in the game.
ReplyDeleteIf that defense were any more porous, they'd have to...I have no punchline for this. If the Niners aren't the worst team in the league, it's not for lack of trying. This is top to bottom hopeless. I think they've managed to mishandle almost every aspect of organizing this roster. They just have to get by Cleveland, and could lose the rest of their games. Frankly, it's tank time for these guys- go for the #1 pick. Lotta competition in the AFC for that.
