The Real Reason Terry Francona was Fired

The season may be over, but the Red Sox are still having trouble with the curve ball.
It has been discovered that Terry Francona was not fired as manager of the Boston Red Sox because of his team's epic swoon, but because it turns out he is actually Donald Pleasance.

"We shoulda seen it," an unnamed source for the team said, "it's obvious now."

As any sci-fi buff knows, the mere presence of Donald Pleasance is a 100% guarantee that sabotage is right around the corner. Mr. Pleasance has taken down more teams than Jose Canseco.

"I saw the resemblance, said DH David Ortiz, but after we got past the first 1/3 of the movie, I mean, season, I figured I was just imagining things."

Pleasance is being interviewed by multiple teams for next season, his expiration in 1995 not withstanding.
