NFC West Keeps on Track as the class of the NFL Doormats

The entire NFC West lost today, making it a very real possibility that the division winner will end the season under .500. Though the run to to Superbowl may be exciting, this year could go in the history books as the year of the Doormats.

Who would have thought you could lose with the best of them and still win? The big question now is, who will win the NFC West? It is bound to be the most exciting finish in the NFL this year.

  1. It's uncanny how many Thursday, Saturday, and Monday games are featuring doormats. Next Sunday they are going to apply the "stretch" format to intentionally showcase The Yikings! Are you kidding me? There isn't anything they can find better than Eagles/Yikes? Do The Saints play The Falcons again? Can we see that game please. How about some Patriots/Colts? I'm sure we'll get The Hags/Pansies or some such moldiness. Sheesh!

  2. With only two weeks left in the season, the best record in the NFC West is 6-8. Nobody can finish over .500 at this point. At the very best, we will have a division winner at 8-8 with a home game seed playing a wild card who is, like, 10-6. Good grief.

  3. What if they get hot and go on a roll and a NFC West division winner at 7-9 winds up in the NFC Conference Championship game? Woohoo.

  4. That's what I've been saying. NFC Worst champ goes to the NFC champeenship. But, HOW COULD ANY OF THOSE TEAMS GET HOT?? Did you get force-fed Seahawks, Eggchair?

  5. We get the Hags like a steady drip of sodium pentothal. I should be dead by the time the playoffs start. If The Hags are in the playoffs, and I am not dead, that will certainly finish me off. The Lambs won't beat anybody. The Ofers might...no, never mind. The NFC Worst just needs to take a pass. They might have to institute a minimum win/loss record for the playoffs. It would be lame to have a good team miss the fun because of a technicality. It is looking good for The Hags and Lambs to lose at least one more, so we might get the coveted DIVISION UNDER 500 YEAR END CLEARANCE EVERYTHING MUST GO SALES EVENT!!!

  6. Actually, I got the Giants-Eagles yesterday, and had to leave just when it was looking like the Giants had it in the bag. I really wanted to watch the rest, just in case something crazy happened.

Wait a minute, Walkfish, GET HOT?? The only way any of these teams get hot and go on a roll is if they're ordered from a hot dog stand.

  7. The only team with any chance of actually getting on a roll that isn't already covered with mustard and a bratwurst is the Lambs. Mutton dogs anybody?
